I bought the You Bake 'Em dog cookbook recently and noticed that garlic powder is called for quite a few of the recipes. I know garlic is not good for dogs, so shouldn't garlic powder be the same?

Is it okay to use in minute amounts (I.e. one teaspoon in a recipe) then? What alternatives would you use if you don't recommend using it?

There are a few other ingredients in some of the recipes that I may post in this later, I can't remember them off the top of my head!

Garlic is not toxic to dogs...well it is if you give them a large amounts. I use air dried garlic for fleas, ticks, and mosquitos and haven't had any problems other than stinky breath for a few hours.
