Does anyone else shop for furniture (or anything else for that matter) with their dogs (and/or cats) principal interests in mind? Like today was out shopping for a desk and although I saw a couple I liked neither would suit my dog because she likes to go under my current desk and snooze. So basically I need to find a desk that will also serve as a dog den. :)

The DH and I got our couches and they're supposed to hold up to nail scratches. Gunther also likes to lick the couches that have fabric so we had to go with a leather blend couch so it wouldn't stain. He seems to like it just as much and easily takes over the whole thing haha.

Every room except for the library in the house has a spot or a favorite area for him and we make sure he always has a spot to relax while we're in there.

Yeah, my house in general. It had to have a cat room for the cats. No stairs leading outside for the dogs so when they are older they don't have a struggle. I am also much more careful about fabric and what attracts fur and what doesn't. The furniture I got is easy to move to vacuum and I have exactly 3 things that need dusting.

No, I don't. I don't let them up on any furniture. That's just my preference, at least until they come up with a self vacuuming couch - lol.
