Today my husband and I took Alex to get another bag of dog food. Nothing to exciting. We did see the VGSR there though, and they had some really awesome dogs with them!
Unfortunately they were packing up to leave when we got there.

Anyway, on to the funny part. So we are looking at dog food, and working a little with Alex. An older woman, probably in her 50's, with brown short hair, kind of dishelved, comes up with a very small merle Aussie female, very cute dog! She also has a rope leash wrapped around her and a treat bag (that I am guilty of wearing around as well) and starts doing down stays and sit stays, dropping her leash and walking around us like she is looking at dog food.

This is somewhat normal, well not dropping the leash esp. with the dogs that were there today, but then she kept going all around us. She was very loud in her commands, saying "freeze" for stay and "struhuuut" for let's go/heel.

She also said "thank you!" after every command, which I think is cool but this was really weird. My husband looks at me and says "that is you in a couple years. A crazy dog trainer lady!" I laugh and then she saunters by Alex and I again in a different aisle, as I have him in a down-stay while a crazy lunging pitbull goes by, saying "let's struuuut! that's right! thank-you!" as she steps over Alex and her dog barely makes it between him and the treats on the shelf! "leeeave it! that's right, thank you! Freeeze!"

Alex, still in his down stay (I was very proud of him holding that as he was used as agility equipment) looks at me like "who is that crazy lady? I think that dog needs help!"

Then I notice her shirt, it's has her dog weaving through poles covering the front AND back....

It was almost too ridiculous to believe! I just stared as she whipped around us and jumped over Alex swooshing her little Aussie here and there and using other people as obstacles.

Okay... Seriously if I get a tshirt with Alex's face streched across the front and back, and start wearing my treat bag as an accessory, someone please, help me!

You often see the crazy cat lady...but it is a rarer event to spot the crazy dog lady.

Congrats! You win a cookie!

That is surreal I would have probably just sat there and stared in disbelief myself.

How refreshing to know that I am not the craziest person out there. Good Dog Alex!

Haha. I guess I'd rather see someone training their dog, no matter HOW crazy it looks, than deal with more lunging dogs!
