As an FYI and because I live in West Virginia, I have suggested a different route that uses major interstates and eliminates the need to travel in Kentucky and Tennessee. I am transporting a Standard Poodle towards his rescuers in South Carolina and have told Dena that, if this transport can be coordinated with that one, I will take both dogs in a southerly direction with me. I gave her the transport coordinator's information for that run and am waiting to hear if I can help this GSD get to safety as well.
