Sky did excellent last night!! I'm so excited!

We did sit stays and she only broke once. Then I put her inside and rolled her ball to lay a scent, put it up on a table in the general area and told her to go find. (this was at night with minimal light if that matters) She had it in under 5 minutes. We repeated this 6 times in different areas and it was all under 5 minutes that she had it.

I'm so proud of her! I'm really seeing a change in her as she gets older (5 1/2 months now)

After we did the ball find she seemed so proud of herself also. I kept telling her good girl and petting her all over.

She really is the best dog that I have ever had. Why I never got a GSD before is beyond me.......lol

Then we went for a walk and she broke fuss, stopped and blocked my left leg and started barking. There was a snake on the sidewalk that she saw before I did.

Wow! Awesome story! Keep up the good work!
Sky is a good dog and you are doing great training of her.
Sherush....do you know which breeder I got her from?

I ask because you are from Ontario
And your dog will continue to do great. A bit ago, I told my breeder that when it comes to training a GSD, it is about my commitment to the dog.

I agree 100%. You have to be committed. Pet ownership regardless of the pet shouldn't be taken lightly.

I spend an hour and a half every night working with her. I vary it every night so she never knows what we will be doing until we start. It could be a 30 minute walk practicing fuss and sit stays and then play time and back to training. Either way she enjoys it and knows she's a good girl when she does something correct.

She gets all excited now when I get her prong collar out.
