My two year old dog was just diagnosed with ehrlichia. Found during an annual exam/routine bloodwork - no symptoms I can see. I've searched it on here and read about it, and although we live in a tick-heavy area I've only ever found two embedded (and not engorged) on Viko. Thoughts? And what do you all think of Frontline Tritak as a tick preventative? Thanks!

Get him on Doxy now. Would not want to mess with Erlichia. Can causes platelet issues. It only takes one tick.

I put in the prescription today at my pharmacy. Vet told me it would be "much cheaper" that way. I'll be getting it tomorrow so that's when we'll start. I don't recall what the amount/mg was, though it had 84#; would that be count?
