I have been told that it's ok for my pup to eat grass, sticks, pollen, and all else in the yard cause it is like them eating veggiesand he will poop it out, but then was told no never let them. Don't get me wrong, I dont just sit back and let him go at it but he is like a vacume when we are outside. Especially with the pollen. He loves it! Should I keep freaking out when he constantly does this or can I relax a little?

grass is fine if there is no pesticide on it. I wouldn't let him chew on sticks. My dog is crazy about sticks and one time she broke a piece in her mouth and it wedged between the roof and bottom of her mouth. I was lucky that I could get it out and will not let her chew or play with sticks anymore.

Kelso ate his fair share of sticks and such when he was a pup..I tried to keep everything out of his mouth but things happen.

I will say I had a freakout one day when I took him out at lunch to go to the bathroom and he tried and tried to poop, I thought it was weird so I lifted his tail and he had a stick/mulch literally sticking out of his anus. I am sure it was not comfortable and we had to go to the vet and get an enema.

So, I would try to keep things out of pups mouth as much as you can!

My dog is 6 1/2, she still lovs to chew a stick and mow some grass for me. Thursday when it was so warm out, I looked over at her, she had strawlike grass sticking out her mouth. Looked like chopsticks - rofl!
