Easter is a hard time of year for our babies, especially when they see us with so many treats. So i came up with a couple of recipes that i use to make easter eggs for my dogs, free of nasty chocolate and macadamia nuts (both of which are toxic).

1 lb of any kind of liver, pureed
· 1 cup of any kind of flour
· 1 cup of corn meal
· 1 Tbsp of oil

Puree the liver and mix together with the rest of the ingredients, shape into small egg shapes, place them on a jelly roll pan or cookie sheet, bake for 25 min at 350 degrees. Watch that they do not burn, cooking time depends on the size of the eggs.
i cool them then hide them in the plastic eggs for the dogs. Bearla goes crazy looking for them.

another one is
Baby Food Dog Treats
· 3 Jars Baby Food -- Chicken
·1/4 C Wheat Germ
·1/4 C Dry milk powder
Combine ingredients in bowl and mix well. Roll into small balls and place on well-greased cookie sheet. These treats can also be flattened out if you prefer. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 15 minutes until brown. Cool on wire racks, STORE IN REFRIGERATOR.

15 min treats (easter or any time you want to spoil them, they actually taste good)
1 lb chicken livers
1 1/4cup flour
1 cup corn meal
1 Tablespoon garlic powder
1 Egg
1/4 cup beef or chicken boulion
Place chicken livers and boulion in blender or food processor, liquify. Add egg, mix to the count of 25. Pour into bowl. Add flour, corn meal and garlic powder. Mix. Spray jelly roll pan or rectangular cake pan with pam. Pour mixture into pan. Bake 15 minutes in 400 degree hot oven. Cut into small squares while still warm. Keep in freezer in ziplock bags to prevent spoilage.

these are juct a few of the ones that i want to share.
anyone have other ones?
