How often do you clean your GSD ears? And what product do you use? When we were in puppy kindergarten, the trainer said we should clean their ears often and the best kind to get is the stuff you squeeze into their ears, rub a little and then let them shake it all out. I've never cleaned Chevys ears and everytime we go to the vet, his ears are checked and the vet never says anything about them. Thanks for any tips and advise!

I usually wipe the dirt out of Brady's ears. But unless Vet tells me to I am not putting anything in his ears. He has way too many ear infections that I am NOT helping the infections to come back.
Plus since I have had him on Doggie OPC and he is groomed there hasn't been any need to do it.

I clean my dogs' ears monthly. I use a homemade solution called "Power Blue Ear Treatment" (Google that phrase and you'll find the recipe.) It's great stuff. Simple, cheap, and amazingly effective.

Power blue works really well- also on occasion, I will take wipes- the non- allregenic ones for the babies...... and swab and dirt out with those......... good for cleaning - em the "other end too" when needed..........Again simple cheap and effective-
I use the Power Blue 1x monthly- when Gracie was alive - she had some allergy issues and I would end up using it every 2- 3 weeks or so on her- If she began an infection , she'd go off to the vet (sometimes yeast sometimes bacterial)
