My male (3 years old) and my female (10 months old) intermittently scrape the grass after they pee and/or poop.

Never paid much attention to it, but read on another site that this is done to mark territory, and is considered dominant behavior.

Wonder if others agree.

Thanks!

Molly will do this occasionally I don't think it is dominant behavior she is very very submissive and friendly!

My lab pees right on Zoe's pee when she finishes which is dominant behavior but not sure about the scraping the grass?

What they are doing is a form of marking. They are basically rubbing their scent onto the grass when they do that. I don't believe it means that the dog is necessarily dominant though. However, a dog who is more dominant would probably be more likely to do it to 'claim his territory'.
