I was really happy at the end: Tori NQ'd. I think he should have let me finish the course though. I did not correct my dog and she did not potty in the ring or show aggression. What happened was that she spooked a little at the start and pulled, but was already recovering (not pulling) when I had her go down and as I was walking around, I dropped her lead. When I stooped to pick it up, she started up. So I called a do-over and repeated the sign. Which she did correctly.
We moved to the next sign and I was calling her front, and dropped the leash again!!! She did not pull it out of my hands either time. It was loose. I have carpul tunnel in both wrists and since the surgery, I drop things. I dropped the leash walking Cujo twice already. With my own dogs it is just a normal occurance. I took a hold of Tori's collar to snag her leash and was calling a do over, when he just excused me. What a bummer, because Tori wasn't doing that badly at all. I told him I just dropped the lead. But he said she was pulling me, and I wasn't going to argue about it. Tomorrow's another day.
Arwen got her first leg in Obedience. This is my first leg in obedience too. We took first place with a score of 186. So that was really kool.
And then I showed Rushie at a match in conformation. My brother ran around with him. He took first in his class, but some bitch beat us for breed. I was happy though, because he went through the berry check this time like it was nothing. The only problem is that Rushie sits -- all the time. We are learning plenty, though. Once we have learned enough to be going on with, we will start with a pup.
All around, it was a good day.
