I think she looks GSD, and I was told by the BYB she's all GSD, but I'm no expert and she's my first. I've had people say she's got some Belgian in her. I'd like to know what you guys think. She's 7 months ImageUploadedByPG Free1404070302.750961.jpg

To me she doesn't but you'd never know for sure. Unless you have papers and the breeder can be trusted - you'd always be guessing.

She's beautiful. My dog doesn't have papers either. I couldn't care less.

She looks like a GSD to me. Strangers in public say all sorts of nonsense about GSDs that don't have the stereotypical black and tan coat. I was regularly asked if the dog in my avatar was a black lab.

Looks like a GSD to me? But maybe a Malinios/GSD mix??

Bob a Black Lab???Seriously??? I have never heard of a pointy eared Blk Lab myself??? I had been asked if my guy was a Blk wolf?

He is a OS WL GSD so at least that was within the realm of reason! But a Lab...WTH!

tail touchs the ground
only back and mouth has black hair (not important)
the way he stands as in the picture (idk what it means in English :D )

Hessa, your pup looks like it could be pure-bred. By Belgian, I assume people mean they think she might be a Belgian Malinois Mix? It is possible, more pics would be helpful - but my first reaction on seeing the pic is that she is pure bred - but a mix of lines (working, West German Show, American showline, etc). Mix of lines is still a pure-bred GSD, just doesn't have any one of the typical GSD looks that you might expect to see in the un-mixed lines - like the classic sable working line, or the classic black-and-tan saddle-backed American show line, or the dog that according to Maxil, is what a GSD should look like.

(Sorry, though a pure-bred dog, my idea of what a GSD should look like is very different than what the dog in the link looks like).

Did you get to see the parents of your dog?

Hello, yes you pup looks pure I think. You will never know for sure tho unless you buy from a responsible breeder and have a pedigree, the picture I am attaching is my tysons son, tyson accidentally got a female pregnant before I adopted him (tyson) , I recieved this from the woman who had him before. This dog to me looks very gorgeous and pure but he is not! He is a gsd/mal and really good looking to boot :)

If there was a mix I'd say there's a very high content of GSD in there :)

I think what you have there is a Labrador - Mastiff Mix... lol

Just kidding you.. Very pretty dog, eyes on the gold side, but everything you would ever want in a GSD...

Thanks for all the responses. People who questioned the Belgian thing base it off of her dark face. I guess that's understandable. Her mom was a black GSD. Her dad I seen but for whatever reason I can't remember exactly what he looked like other then reddish GSD like Hessa. If there is a mix he'd be the one. Highly doubt it though. I don't care honestly. Just when people ask I scratch my head and wonder because they say it with such confidence even though they're walking around with a chihuahua haha. So I just wanted input from people who have more experience with these dogs. Regardless I couldn't be any happier with her she's 7 months and just full of life and pure joy. I was told by a lot of people on this forum I was going to be in for one since she came home at 6 1/2 weeks, but I've worked, loved, socialized her well, and it's been paying off so far. Thanks again!
