Our dog likes to sit under the table and wait for our 2 yr old human to eat and catch what falls! No training needed for that.

I do that almost every night (I randomly choose which commands, so she doesn't pick up a routine), and every meal, she has to sit/stay or down/stay until I release her. I do random times, sometimes about 20 seconds, sometimes for about 3-4 minutes.
