Messy child (dog). Shane is exactly like a 3 year old who takes out all his toys to play with and then leaves them lying ALL AROUND THE HOUSE so I can trip and break my neck one day...

Examples:
1. I tripped going UP the stairs because Shane left his tennis ball on the stairs ...I didn't see it and landed KNEES first on the next wooden step....that felt good

2. That **** cuz, it seems to be EVERYWHERE and I only have one! Some reason it makes it way under my feet and I am stepping all over it! Of course, Shane thinks it is a game and will then proceed to "wrestle" my feet for the cuz!!"

3. Kong food bone...yup not so great when he takes the bone on the carpet and then leaves it there, with the food, ALLLLLL over the carpet.

4. Kong frisbee...let me count the ways Shane leaves that thing all over the yard...and me having to go look for it....all over the yard!

5. Squeaky ball...tripped again. Almost anything that is round...I will trip over it!

But yet, I can't stop buying him toys!

there's balls, bones and kong toys all over the floor. sometimes they seem to disappear. did you ever step on one in the middle of the night or when it's wake up time and you're dragging down the hallway to the bathroom? did you ever think about picking them up? i didn't untill now but i'm not going to pick them up. my boy likes his toys. tread lightly.

Ha! Yes, between baby toys and dog toys - its gets to begin to feel like "Death beyond each corner".

My all time favorite - Doing laundry and going will a full basket to fold and bam, trip and fall clean clothes everywhere!!!

I have taken the liberty to teach three of my house dogs to "Clean up" - This entails getting all the toys brining them to me and I direct which bin the toys go into. "Anthony" - baby toys "Yours" - Dog bin - It has worked quiet well, and extremely pleased that I am not the only one who helps keep this house clean! :)

i only let him have one toy at a time but he generally will leave one outside to play with when he is out and then i let him have one in the house that i will usually rotate for him..i decided to use that method after i literally slid across the liveing room on one of his bones in the middle of the night haha

Having only a few toys out at a time and rotating them was the plan. We have gone into "protection" mode. We make sure there are chew toys/balls in each room he's allowed as "protection" and quick redirection from the things he shouldn't be chewing on. So we walk around looking at the ground!

I pick up all the scattered toys daily and toss them in their toy box. I get strickened looks and Berr has to go check on every single one that I put back and usually takes out another one and gives me sad looks as he pretends to play with it.

Silly dog.

Rocky has a zillon toys. Luckily most of his toys stay in his toy box except for tennis balls. They are everywhere in the house, and once a week we will go around the whole house gathering them up. If by chance he is playing with something besides a tennis ball that means all of the tennis balls are under furniture where he cant find them LOL

Of course as soon as they are picked up there are 5 or 6 more on the floor. I am sure if we found all of them we would have between 75 and 100 tennis balls in the house.

LOL, Jasper is really funny with a few certain things.

First, he has this ball of rope, with a tug on each end, this thing must weigh 30lbs, he carries it, then just drops it (either right by your feet, or somwere on the hardwoods (sounds like someone just fell to the ground, it's so loud).

His worst feature (and it is better since we got buddy bowls), he drinks and half the water goes in his mouth, the rest follows him like "Pig pen" from Charlie Brown
, it's so annoying, especially if you have nice dry socks on. It's also like having a "slip and slide" in the kitchen

He does like to pull out toys as well.

Also, when we get ice out of the freezer (and this is our fault for giving them), but he always wants ice cubes.

Shadow is pretty good with his toys. He tends to put them all in his crate to hide them from the kids. Actually, he hides most everything he likes in his crate, whether he's allowed them or not. Yesterday we found the remote for my Hubby's TV in there. Luckily something must had distracted Shadow, because there were only a few teeth marks.

Lakota is the worst with toys. he hids them under my pillows so the other pups can't find them.
So every night I have to check for treats and toys.

Natalie takes everything outside in the yard. Toys, socks, shoes.
She does not chew on them.
I am not sure if she wants to lay under the steps with my stuff and she feels safe, or just being a theif and hiding all my stuff.LOL!!!

Yup Jesse is like that too... but I pick up all his toys every day and put them back in the toybox, I am in the process of teaching him to do it himself (once is a blue moon he does and I throw a party)
