Hello all,
Forgive me if I am completely wrong but I have a few questions about DM:

From what I have read dogs who have the A/A allele are "at risk" and A/N is a "carrier"

I was looking at the DNA profiles of Sadie's parents (MMI Genomics?) and both of them show A/A on their profiles....does that mean they are both at-risk and passed those onto all the puppies? Is that how DM can be determined (looking at a DNA profile)?

I just submitted Sadie's DM test, about how long does it take to receive results?

I'm sure a lot of these questions are "duh" questions, but I just want a little confirmation on this...any help will be much appreciated, thanks in advance!!

I am not sure either. But I would check on the ofa website (orthopedic foundation for animals). Also West Coast German Shepherds has a page on dm with the info you are looking for - here is the link: Home of West Coast German Shepherd Dogs - About Us For when you get the results back, I would contact the place you sent them to.
