Hi,

I was looking at the Royal Canin website and noticed that for the GS 24 formula they have Pearled Barley in the ingredient list. I didn't remember seeing Barely listed on the bag I have, so I double checked and it is definately NOT there.

I was wondering if RC is adding the Barley to their formula or taking it away? The bag I have is fairly new and has an expiration date of 3/09.

Do any of you GSD 24 feeders have Barley listed on your bags?

The Expiration date on the bag I just finished was 02/18/09, no Pearled Barley.

I am pretty sure that they have up to 6 months to change the bag to reflect mix changes.

A while back there was a problem with dealers not being able to get some Royal Products, maybe they had to change ingredients do to a supply problem.

My new bag has an expiration of 3/09 and has No barley listed. They just changed the formula around November or December to what is listed on my current bag. I would guess that the barley is going to be a new addition in future bags. We are having some itchy skin issues. I really wish they would quit changing things! I have contacted them and received a quick response in the past. If you have questions I would do that.
I have been considering changing to a human grade food.
