When looking at a dog food, do you want to consider the amount of crude protein % in the food because it goes to waste ? I am confused and want to know before I buy. It seems like a lot of the higher end foods have a high percentage, is that or good or bad ?

We are looking at Evo Red Meat and Maybe Merrick but merrick is lower.
