As some of you know, Sigurd was on medication for 2 weeks for his injury, and since he has been off them he has been heavily constipated. He will try for 5+ minutes, and only sometimes will he actually be able to pass anything. We've been the the Vet, and he is currently on a probiotic, but it doesn't seem to be helping.

He's eating fine and is doing really well besides this issue.

What are some foods/etc I could give him to help him poop normally again?? :help:

Thank you!!

i agree with the pumpkin and try adding some yogurt a couple times a day as well. I've heard that frozen yogurt (kinda like ice cubes) is not only fun for them but tasty and helpful in the constipation area.

You can also ask your vet about Lactulose - Lactulose - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
if the above doesn't give you the desired result. For chronic constipation, it works by drawing more water into the gut, which softens the stool and makes it easy to pass.

Pumpkin works, you can also try green tripe.
