Does anyone have any suggestions for a light that could be attached to each of my dogs collars? On my walks it's usually dark or getting dark before I make it out of the woods.I can here their tags jingling but I would like to be able to see where they are and think a small light would be perfect.I would appreciate any input. Thanks

those headlamps you can get at walmart work nicely. Riley is a black dog so i have one of those that i can just put on him like a collar and he wear a glow belt lol when we do night time walks. But the head lamp lights up the path nicely. You can get some pretty nice ones from walmart.

I use Spotlit L.E.D. Collar light in the white color
SpotLit - L.E.D. Collar Light | Nite Ize

It's durable, stays on well, and you can make it flash or have a steady glow. It says it's weather resistant, but Chrono actually went swimming with this thing on (I forgot it was on his collar!) and no water got in and it worked perfectly fine. This thing is pretty bright, and cheap too.

I also have the Night Dawg Collar, but it's not nearly as bright as this thing. Also, the batteries ran out, and it's a pain to take apart. The batteries ran out because it was on during the day time and I couldn't tell it was on.

I don't know what they are called, but I can get them at most pet stores around here. They are the little round flashing red lights that hang on the collar like tags and you can turn them on and off. They can be seen from quite a distance without making it hard for your dog to see in the dark.

I've also heard about using headlamps (around $20 at walmart), but I haven't actually put one on a dog yet, only on myself. The lamp on the one I wear rotates, so it could easily work worn around a dog's neck with the lamp pointed forward.

The PUPlight is similar to a headlamp, but it costs about $10-14.

This is exactly what I'm looking for.

ESP where I lived in mount holly where witch craft killing was common back in the day.
How far back in the day are you talking?I live in south jersey not far from mount holly and don't ever remember hearing about that.I do remember back in the day (mid 80's for me) hearing about some sort of satanic rituals involving animal sacrifices taking place in the pine barrens.

I had planned on ordering two of the round lights that attach to the collar loop.Well while at petsmart one day I found these http://pet.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pPETS-6288238t400.jpg and I picked up two.Well I tried them today and was not impressed they aren't very bright. The main problem is length they don't go all the way around the dogs neck,so the light isn't always visible. The light kept sliding to the side of the dogs neck so if the lighted side wasn't facing me I couldn't see the dog or the light.I'm going to order the ones I originally wanted and hope they work better.

I really like the round ones that hang off the collar like you were going to get. I like the red ones as they are very easy to see from a distance without interfering with your dog's night site. I've used them for years as I am nocturnal and I call them my please-don't-run-us-over lights.
