In a previous post, I spoke to a Pannus issue with my first (of seven) GSD.
Pannus is simply an overgrowth of vascular tissue into the eye. Typically, overgrowing into the cornea.
Good news: Fixable. Manageable. Script is not excessively expensive.
Bad news. Requires a script and two / three vet visits. No retail stores will have anything specific to Pannus.
Bear in mind, any significant eye infection in dogs does not clear quickly.
We administered multiple drops into the singular eye for roughly 6-8 months, but it absolutely went away and never re-appeared.
I’d start addressing it immediately.
Good Luck to you and your pup
