We had a big stray come through the pastures and up to the back yard fence last night. Hondo went wild. He is not dog aggressive, but was in no way going to allow this stray on his property! At 7 months, he sounded pretty scary! Even my neighbor across the road came out to have a look! Job well done, young man! :groovy:

Only drawback was he was on high alert last night, and he'd bark at any sound he heard. When you are sound asleep and a big dog starts barking right next to your bed, it sure enough gets the ole' heart pumping, jumping, shucking and jiving!

Hopefully the encounter won't have lasting effects. I'll have to take him shopping this weekend as his favorite spot to ensure no ill feelings towards dogs.

VERY True! It does that!

Only thing that MIGHT be worse is when they do that low rumbling but very serious growl. The one that starts at their tail and goes thru their whole body. Sets your hair on the back of your neck straight UP.
