It’s a syringe of medicine that has to be inserted twice a day into a pocket of infection on Joey’s elbow.

Are any of you familiar with this medicine?

Just spoke to the vet today because I wasn’t clear on the dosing. He told me this medicine is used to treat mastitis in cows. He explained the dosing for Joey.

On another website it says, “Cephapirin is bactericidal to susceptible organisms; it is known to be highly active against Streptococcus agalactiae and Staphylococcus aureus including strains resistant to penicillin”.

I’m thankful that Joey’s been able to tolerate everything that’s been thrown at him.
