Hi All,

Just switched by dog to Canidae. He is a picky eater and doesn't like to eat dry food unless I mix something with it. Is it OK to feed him the canned food also, or would you just avoid that? Not sure how long I am keeping him out that, depends how he does on it.
Thanks!

Yes, he did just have surgery. But a week later we were forced to switch dog foods because his bag of Nutro was off the shelves. Switched to Another Nutro and he started throwing up, switched to Natures Recipe, and he did not like it and had lose stools. Now I am trying Canidae but he won't eat it, unless I mixed something other with it.
What are probioitics?

Natalie, you dog has had a lot of things going on and challenging his system.

Just a thought, how about doing limited ingredient home cooked diet for a few weeks, plus some probioitics, that would give the digestive system a chance to rest and the probiotics will restore the good tummy flora.

One comment about Probiotics, if you are give antibioitics, do not give the probioitics, give about 4 - 6 hours apart.

Then in a week or two slowley introduce the Canidae.

Thanks for all your help! I am going to get some probiatics. He is still on antibiotics, so thanks for your advice. I figured the same, that he is all out of sorts since having 2 surgerys!!!!! Poor boy!

That is what I thought I remembered reading. His system is probably like a train wreck, give him some support and that department and he will be on the rebound soon. Remember that digestive problems aren't helpful in the healing process.

Try geting just the acidophllis (sp), it is a nice starting point.
