Hey there experts & tried and true advisors.

I’m new to having such a sensitive stomach pooch. When we first got Charlie she had an intestinal parasite. We were given meds and told to expect watery poops.

Since then I’ve been through 3 different brands/types of dry puppy food. We still don’t always have a good poop. Better ones now that we are on grain-free food. Maybe once a week we have a good solid poop.

Any suggestions on how to get better poops?

Buffy was the same, took her to the vet to make sure she was ok, vet said she just had a sensitive tummy, gave us some probiotics.

I got some more online, and give it to her 3 times a week, all sorted. Every time I see solid poop, I feel relieved.

Protexin Pro-Fibre - this is the brand I got from the vet and online.

What color is the poop? That can tell you some information...

If it's a lighter, yellowish color, then you are probably looking at possible EPI issues.

If a darker color, it could be Giardia or Coccidia, (both intestinal protozoa's) or other bacterial issues. Coccidia and Giardia are difficult to get rid of and once you have it in your environment, then they will continue to get it from time to time.
