My German Shepherd loves baby food, but some of the flavors have citric acid as one of the ingredients. Is citric acid okay for dogs?

My Newlie used to share mandarin oranges with me, believe it or not. I would eat a section, then give him one, and I would get the stink eye if I skipped his turn. Never any ill effects.

Thank you! I really like Newlie and the stories you wrote about him.

check your different bags of kibble -- I am sure citric acid will show up and its purpose is as a preservative

some rumblings and investigation whether dry food (kibble) with citric acid contributes to bloat when that kibble is moistened.

oranges are not the best source of vitamin C ---
