Not a stupid question but a VERY good question! Yes! It is very important as it indicates the energy content of a food and essentially how rich the food is and how much needs to be fed. The lesser the kcals in a food the more needs to be fed and the more money it can potentially cost you/ On the same token foods with higher kcals usually cost more to begin with as they are energy dense.Originally Posted By: GSDgirlALI know this may seem like a stupid question but I was wondering if the caloric count per cup is really that important? Should the caloric count influence choosing a particular brand?
