Hi everybody my name is Ed and I'm new here. I have a 6 month old Shepherd pup that is bunny hopping quite often when sprinting. It seems that when he's in the house it is hard for him to get up on the couch or jump up 2 shake hands. He is never really been strong in the hind quarter so I was just wondering if anybody else has had these experiences with a Shepherd puppy? Thanks folks!

I would expect a 6 mont old GSd to be able to get on the couch without a problem. What do you mean by 'jump up 2 shake hands'?. Can you post a video where the dog is walking and trotting, taken form the back and the side? I am not an expert on this but others are. But you best chance for a good evaluation is an orthopedic specialist.

I agree with Wolfy Dog. A 6-month old puppy should be able to jump up on the couch and to shake hands with you. Your post also mentioned that your pup has always been weak in the hindquarters. I would suggest that you make a vet appt.
