As of recently Emma has found a new thing for her diet, and it is bugs, this week she has eaten, cicada, earth worm, moth looking bug.....probably more that I don't see...I do not encourage this behavior and try to get the bug out of her mouth before it is swollowed, but I can't get to every bug. It's like when she goes outside now she purposly looks for anything crawling on the ground that she can pick up, sling and eat YUCK!!! I know she isn't eating them because she's hungry, because she's not, she could have had a big bowl of food right before she goes out, and then automatically looks for bugs....is this normal or just a phase? Please tell me it's a phase!?!? Just a reminder, she is 11 months old.

Mas is 11, he has been eating house flies, wasps and spiders since the begining of time (well his time). I get him away from the wasps if I see him going after them, but there are times when he gets them before I can stop him
I actually like that he will go after the spiders and take care of them for me.

When we lived in Illinois Shilo was the ultimate fly hunter. She would be out the backyard on alert looking for any flies. It was hiliarous to watch.

Max, my Parson, and Harley both enjoy a good June bug when they can
Max actually got ahold of a snake tonight, I about had a stroke
They all seem no worse for wear despite the disgusting things they have managed to eat:)

Annie will try to catch anything that flies.
Harley just lays down and watches her with a disgusted look on his face......sometimes I see him rolling his eyes and then one of those cartoon bubbles pops up over his head and it says..."You nitwit..that's a wasp"

She has been bitten in the mouth twice by a wasp or hornet, not sure which. You think she'd learn.

Demon is also a bug hunter. I try to get at them before he does but on the other hand it's nice to know he's taking care of spiders, flys, and other bugs that are showing up now that it's getting warmer.
