I had two American GSDs over the years and one girl grew up to be only 56lbs and was beautifully proportioned. The other girl is very large and is about 90lbs...she should probably be about 80 to 85lbs and she is a foodie.
bloodlines vs size
are certain bloodlines bigger than others?? say for example "american bloodlines are bigger than german bloodlines"

For what I've seen in working lines you can find all the spectrum, from some that look almost like Mals to some very big guys, and some very big, even out of standard, females too.
