My puppy does this too, i guess its because of teething. when she starts biting hard i say no in a firm voice and hand her a toy to chew on.

our bodies are their nipping posts. when my dog nipped
i use to gentle hold him by some neck fur and say "no biting".
i'm not sure if this worked or he just grew out of the nipping
stage. i remember when my dog was 6 months old
i was sittting at the computer. as my dog was walking past
he moved over to me to nip my knee. he opened his mouth
wide and grabbed the side of my knee. there was no pressure.
then he went into the livingroom and laid down on the floor and gave me the "what" look.

Welcome to the GSD Eaten Alive By Your Puppy Support Group. Nothing worked with mine except outgrowing it so I hope some of the suggestions you get will. Alll they did for my little guy was make him try harder.
Now at 5 months he will grab my arm now and then but nowhere near the slasher he was from 8 weeks to 12 weeks old.....We finally started being able to go shoeless at 4.5 months. Once I had to wear ski gloves to brush him at like 11 weeks old.

i got my first battle wound this morning haahaha roughhousen with my little man he caught me on the nose!

oooooo, I took a nose slash with my last GSD (RIP I miss her).. I stupidly put my head down when she was 12 weeks old and running by...hello bloody inside of nose.
