Remember the older female that Natasha discovered at the Sheboygan Humane Society in Wisconsin? We were able to get her out of there fairly quickly and people sort of lost track of her--she wasn't one of the big stories on here. But it turns out she really, really, really needed to be rescued. Without this Board she still might be sitting in a cage or have suffered a worse fate...

Here is what she looks like AFTER being in her new foster home for a little while. You can read more about here here: http://bgsr.org/Belle/index.html:
Please keep this dog in your thoughts--she still needs lots of help!

Oops, sorry about that colon! And thanks for the link to her original thread. She's in a very loving, experienced foster home so she couldn't be in better hands. If she could talk I'm sure she'd have quite a story to tell.

Oh, poor Belle. Well, that's not right now, is it? Lucky Belle for finding her angels.

I am so thankful for all of you who helped her and now have her in rescue.

Thank, Bowwowmeow for updating us.

Scroll down and you will see that there are several new updates with pictures on Belle's BGSR website. The poor dog has been through a lot but is coming through. She sounds like quite the character now that she's feeling a little better!

VERY SAD NEWS: Belle -Senior from Sheboygan, WI

Just received this very sad email. Belle had been steadily improving up until this weekend:

Just wanted to let you know that Belle was crossed over the Rainbow
Bridge last Saturday. Her systems slowly crashed and she was
diagnosed with Lupus. We are very sad about her loss. She was a
great girl. Thanks for letting us know about her. We have a tribute
to her on our web site.

RIP sweet girl

Re: VERY SAD NEWS: Belle -Senior from Sheboygan, WI

What a beautiful tribute to Belle. I'm so sorry for her foster mom, BGSR, and all of you who worked so hard to save her. But please find comfort in knowing that she didn't die in a shelter, but in the loving arms of her foster mom. I'm sure her past was forgotten and all she remembered was the love and kindness surrounding her. Run free and healthy, sweet girl...
