Are your dogs microchipped? I just had my two done but I am unable to use the internet service that comes with the chip. Our vet clinic uses the HomeAgain chip. I called customer service and got no answer... I am kinda concerned because I want to make sure that the chip is registered in case my dogs ever lost...

Yes, my dogs and cats are.

2 of mine are HomeAgain chips and I've never had any issues with their site. I haven't logged onto it in awhile though.

My Yorkie is with an American chip. Mace will come with a European chip and we are debating on which one to chip KC with. I am taking her into the vet today and will ask a few questions. I don't have the HomeAgain chip, It is someone else.

All three of mine are microchipped with Home Again.

Balto is from Sweden and came with a 15 digit ISO chip. However, I couldn't find an organization to register the ISO number, so he got a Home Again as well. He was chipped at a pet fair and a greatly reduced price then what the vet charges and no registration fee.

Meeka has not been microchipped YET, she will be next week. Camping season is almost here, and I get worried she might get away from us, especially when we're away from home. I'm always diligently keeping an eye on her, but accidents DO happen.

Abby has a Home Again chip.

We have never had any trouble with them adding or changing our information. We just moved and didn't have Internet for the first week and a half, so we called them and had them change the information that way.

The website works for me in both Firefox and Internet Explorer. You can register your chip through the site (on the right, "enroll now") if you have the chip number. You can also do it over the phone - 1-888-551-3903

Well KC was chipped with AVID today. I really would hate to do that twice to her so I decided against the Eurochip. That needle was huge! My poor baby. As was explained to me, the AVID works both in Europe and in the states. 15 US dollars is a lot cheaper than 40 Euros!

Make sure that you register as much info. as possible to insure you get your dog back in case you need to use the service. If you move, or anything changes, be sure to update the info. The chips are only as good as the information on the registration. I have a rescue, and she was chipped with original owner who couldn't be found as they didn't update their address, phone, etc...(LUCKY ME!!!)

All three of our girls are chipped. Our vet uses Home Again.

Our vet will also check the chips when they go in for checkups to make sure they are working and haven't migrated anywhere they shouldn't be.

This reminds me.... gotta check the website to make sure nothing needs to be updated!

My GSD is microchipped from the breeder and I'm looking into having my Lab done. The vet says it will cost $50. Is this what others paid? (We live in MA) Seems expensive. A friend that works for the MSPCA says that $20 is what should be a normal charge.

We have Samson chipped. We had it down at a Chow Hound (local to Michigan) and it was $10.00. I could have done it at the shelter but it was more $ - I think $20. They also clipped his nails at the same time! (What a deal)
