It's probably his buggy eyes. His head looks like it's a little too narrow for how wideset his eyes are.

I think it's his face... kind of reminds me of a mali. Maybe it's the eyes.

i can definitely say his eyes have something to do with it. His ears kinda bug me too. lol maybe he'll look better when he's older but right now he's just not right looking.

I think that when he's older he'll look better, but he's already neutered, so he probably won't have that masculinity associated with male GSDs.
I think he's just at that funny puppy stage right now.

ah poor guy! They took away his goods to grow like he should?! Thats just mean. explains his head though. Riley took 5 years to reach his size and maleness lol. Yes i went there (maleness). he's turning 6 in january.

He got him from a BYB. The mom's owners wanted to breed her before they 'took away her ability to have puppies.'

His parents are a WGSD and a K-9 GSD.

BYB huh? so no testing or anything? well we all know its possible those two dogs shouldnt have been bred. Could explain the funkier than normal looking pup.
