Here is a photo of "Buggy". I know, it's an awful name isn't it? He was my grandparents first dog when they were newly married. In this picture is my grandmother, and her oldest daughter. All three in the photo have been gone for many years now.

My grandpa once wrote a story about Buggy. He wrote....

"We once had a nice young German Shepherd dog nameed Buggy who had a bad case of jaundice. He was taken to a veterinarian who sent him home with a lot of pills that were to be taken every two or three hours. It was so bitterly cold outside that he was allowed to stay in the kitchen for a few days. He did a beautiful job of taking those pills without a bit of complaint. Just one gulp and they were gone. Later when (grandma) was cleaning under the rug, she found several of those pills. He had kept them in his mouth until no one was looking and then spit them out and pushed them under the rug. "
