I need to get a new flat collar for my all black GSD and wanted to see what you all thought of different colors. (Doesn't need to be an all black GSD) I had a tan leather that he doesn't fit into anymore and really liked that color combination.

My question is; what is your favorite collar color on your dog? I would love to see pictures along with remarks.

Any bright color looks great on a black. Neon yellow, lime green, red, orange...just pick your favorite. Go to a store and throw the different colors over him. Like a fabric swatch for a couch. LOL

Delgado's flat collar is black embossed leather with red stitching on it. I like it because it blends with his coat until you look closely, he wears bandanas so he gets that pop of colour from them ;) I like to change style often so banadas are a lot cheaper way to go then buying a new collar every few weeks lol

The nice thing about black is that everything goes with it. :) My solid black GSD has a red collar, and it looks great on her. But it's all a matter of personal preference... so whatever your favorite color is, go for it!

I use an orange collar with a reflective strip so I can see him at night. Anything reflective is helpful with that.

Only the reflective collars are not the best to photograph the dog in.

Everything goes with black. I don't have any solid colored dogs. My collars are all brown/tannish -- well the leather ones. I got a couple that are still in nylon collars for growth.

My GSD only wears red collars. He has 3 of them, one has spikes, one is just bright red and one is a personalized crimson red collar with black lettering.

Touche! I guess I could always turn the reflective part to the opposite side that I'm photographing.

Lime green is my go-to color for black and dark dogs. It just looks good lol. I currently have a pink collar on my girl though, due to getting tired of hearing "HE is so big" "how old is HE" "hey BOY"

I used a red collar until he grew into the collar I bought for him a few months ago. I have to say it is really striking on him and you wouldn't think it would be. You would think it would blend in. It's black leather studded.

our 1.5 year old red sable female has at least 10 collars. one for each season, 2 christmas collars, and a bunch of girly pink collars with skull print or whatnot. right now she's wearing pink with alligators. it's all my wife's doing.

julie with her collar just for when it's snowing.

our 5 month old tan sable only has a solid black and his main collar is old school army camo. his name is rambo so it fits and his name tag is also camo. not much you can do with a boy so my wife will have a hard time turning him gay.

sorry no pic of rambo with his camo collar.

She's not all black but Zazzle only wears purple collars.

It makes her easy to spot in group photos.
