I buy the liquid form, either from Timberwolf Organics (good product, bad customer service) or from Bravo (I have a friend who's a dealer and I get a discount).

Back when I had 4 GSDs I bought the gallon size. Now that I have 1 GSD and 3 smaller dogs I get the 16 oz bottles.

Here's my dosage info:

1000 mgs of oil per 30 pounds of body weight for healthy dogs

1000 mgs of oil per 20 pounds of body weight for dogs recovering from an illness

1000 mgs per 10 pounds of body weight for dogs with chronic illnesses

LJsMom, do you add additional vit E to the diet, or is the amount in the product sufficient to balance the Omega 3/Omega 6 ratio?

I don't know enough about balancing the Omegas so I add 400 IU of the Vit E with each meal.

i add 400 IU vit E as well once a day for each dog, with the salmon oil. It was my impression that whatever was in the food/oil wasnt enough alone, if supplementing with oil.

The Wholistic Pet one has vit E in it, but I can never remember what the correct ratio is, so I don't know if it's enough. According to the post above, it has 1255 mg of Omega 3, and 1095 ppm of Vitamin E per teaspoon.
Any experts on here that can decipher that?
