Hi,

We are proud parents of a rescued 1 yr old female sable GSD.
We have never had the privilege.
After our Doberman of 12 faithful years passed on Easter Sunday 2013, we thought we were done having dogs in the house.

Well, it didn't take long for us to find a good Rescue group here in Dallas.
Within minutes of meeting AKIRA, we knew we were taking her home with us.

She is quite a change from a Dobie. We are getting used to this kind of laid back personality. She is an absolute dream!

I may post some questions here, having never had this breed before.

Welcome! I'm a first time GSD owner as well. We have a 12 year old Rottweiler. It's amazing how different the breeds are. I'm loving it!

Welcome! My gsd is named after my dobe. I found that the 2 breeds share many of the same qualities and having a dobe is a good preparation for having a gsd. Enjoy the forum and your gsd!
