AGILITY MEET

I am so excited because my Heidi, who previously couldn't be within sight distance of another dog without going off, actually participated in an agility fun match! We were at the park, walking and we saw something going on with dogs, so we went over to see what it was. It was an agility meet, and as Heidi has HD and the vet says she can't do agility, thought we would just watch for a few minutes. Then I found out they had an activity that was only tunnels and I thought "Well Heidi could do that." Heidi always loved tunnels. So, we signed up and Heidi was in her glory, running through ten tunnels. She took direction from me about which the order to go through them in. We had a great time! I am so proud because she stood in line on a leash and was perfectly polite to the dogs. Beforehand, she watch them through the fence and just laid down to watch, no barking. I even left her with a man we knew from the dog park, while I walked the course before it started. I never thought Heidi could be left with anyone in the past. I think we will, finally, start working on getting her CGC. I never thought that would happen; it's been a journey!

Well done!! It's lovely to see them making progress and know that all the hard work is starting to pay off.
