Just wondering if anyone else has problems with Advantage and seizures
My other GSD Nitro who has since passed From old age was having seizures with advantage.

He would have them in the warm months but in the winter they wouldn't happen. The seizures would last five minutes or so. I finally figured what it was and switched the heart worm meds. And he lived the rest of his life without the grand mals.

The vet did want to put him on medication for the seizures but I had to figure this one out myself.

Be careful with Advantage!

I didn't realize that Advantage had a newer multi product out there that also treated HW. In general, I don't like these "all in one" products.

Thanks for passing this information along, I'm glad that you figured it out.

I use Interceptor at 1/5 the normal dose, which is called the Safeheart dose, effective only for HW. Luckily I don't have issues with fleas, though always looking for safe and effective tick control.
