Good Afternoon,

I've been looking to adopt a GSD for a while now. I had a GSD who passed away about a year ago after a whopping 14 years, and would like to fill that void. My partner prefers to rescue animals and is somewhat morally opposed to breeding due to the fact there are already so many dogs that need homes. I'm fairly stuck on a GSD, so rescuing a GSD was a logical compromise.

I was referred to someone who had an "accidental" litter (sigh, don't get me started) between their two GSDs.

Puppies

The mother has papers, but the father's the owner can't find. The owner is in the process of moving, so it's a likely story, but I'd like to do my homework. Is there anything that would lead you to believe these are not pure bread GSDs?

Also, how would you expect the puppies to turn out, long or short hair? Is there a way to tell at this age?

PS-- I did ask, and the owner will be fixing the dogs ASAP.
