Re: Columbiana, OH, Adult Female, beaten with facial f
Thank you Lava-I would post the email I received about her from one of the shelter volunteers crossposting but I don't know exactly how to do that. THey say she has all the classic signs of abuse and her muzzle is now somewhat deformed.
Re: Columbiana, OH, Adult Female, beaten with facial f
How sad. How could someone hurt such a sweet little creature so badly to permanently deform her muzzle? What is wrong with people??? The poor little thing. I sure hope someone can help her. It says she's scheduled for euthanasia on Wednesday, May 28th though. I hope she's still alive and that someone will save her and give her a good life.
Re: Columbiana, OH, Adult Female, beaten with facial f
That makes me soooo ANGRY!!!!! How can people be so f%$#@ ruthless to do this to an animal???
She definiitely does not deserve to be put down after all that she has been through. And through all of this she is still "sweet and loving"... She must be one special girl to not want to rip into anyone that comes near her!!
Re: Columbiana, OH, Adult Female, beaten with facial f
I know ya all want to help this girl and I would like to too, but we have to be careful. She is friendly and an owner turn in. I cannot believe the owner said that they beat her and broke her muzzle.
Is it not impossible that the poor girl was hit by a car at some point, nursed back to health, and now her owners have fallen on hard times and needed to turn her in?
I am wondering what "all the classic signs of abuse" are. If it is putting the tail between the legs and acting a bit shy of people, there are tons of GSDs that act like that thae have never been abused.
Is it that people like to rescue dogs that have been abused and not just abandoned or given up?
I hope this fella finds a great home and they love her just the way she is. I hope they do not make excuses all her life saying that she was abused and that is why she is shy or her muzzle is messed up or whatever. My dogs understand a mixture of English and body language and I know that having people give them tragic pitying looks all the time would be hard on them. I always feel sad for the dogs when their owners spout out about how the dog was abused partly because it may be true, and partly because of what the current owner is doing to the dog because of what they BELIEVE happened to it.
