Hi all,

Just wanted to check with you if you see any drastic differences between the two stated food variates made by ACANA (champion).

I noticed that both types of food have same ingredients with the same nutrition values except:
Puppy LB vs. Adult LB

  1. Protein 33% vs. 34%
  2. Fat 15% vs. 14%
  3. Fiber 3.5% vs. 3%
  4. Calcium 1.2% vs. 1.3%
  5. Omega6 2.5% vs. 2.8%
  6. Metabolize energy is 390kcal per 250ml cup vs. 385 kcal per 250 ml cup
Reason for this question is to see if you think that differences in these values would make a big difference in proper growth of GSD puppy. Puppy LB formula is more expensive than Adult LB formula from ACANA - hence wondering if you see any problem in changing Puppy LB formula with Adult LB formula for a GSD puppy. (provided feeding guidelines are kept as listed on the Puppy LB formula bag)

Thank you.

Why don't you just feed the Orijen LBP?
I started my guy on Acana LB puppy but after 6 months went to the Orijen LBP.
With the Acana with the grains I had to feed more and had huge logs to clean up in the yard.
The two Acana grain free foods; the fish and the prarie but not the grasslands are good for all life stages. You may want to try those.
