My one yr old Mya has been a great little girl...she eats great, and finds that she loves to chase squirrels and rabbits *sighs*. I noticed that her hips have started to look real prominent. She eats like a horse, and drinks fine, so any ideas why she would start looking so skinny? I've moved to columbus only a short while ago, so I need to find a good vet. One person I know said to deworm her again, but I dont know....

Hi NancyK, the person who advised you to deworm again is probably right. My girl had been dewormed and a couple of months later we saw evidence of worms in her stool, so we wormed her again. I would go to a vet so they can check her stool and tell you what kind she has. Good luck!

Do you have photos?

Our pups do have growth spurts requiring MORE food than was just fine a few weeks earlier. So she just may be requiring more quantity of food for the next few months.

A vet visit never hurts though. And if you increase her food 1 cup a day for a couple weeks and she continues to get skinny then you know there is something else going on.
