Knowing that he has DM makes me uneasy about this. But it also may give us some info. ,at some point, about DM.

Their slowly making their way to human cloning. BUT next it will be remove all the genetic problems out of the GSD. Creating the perfect GSD. It will never have joint problems or any other issues. It will live to be 25 30 years old. People will pay the money to buy them. Then they will start with other breeds making the perfect dog. The demand will be so great that once again they will try to slide human cloning into the mix showing that they can eliminate the genetic problems exterminating the possibilities of many types of cancers. Increasing life expectancy by 30 years. People will marvel at the possibilities and the testing will be allowed, picking right up where the Nazi's left off. Once you start playing God there is no way to turn back.

I also watch alot of scifi movies sooo I very well could be insane in my thought process.

We might be crazy, but I don't know if the Nazi's were anywhere near cloning. I think somebody named Godwin theorized sooner or later any discussion would eventually mention Nazi's but I think this thread might have set a record for sooner...

but as long as we're already there, it made me wonder, do you think Germany became the world's puppy mill of all breeds due to the frustration of loosing the war?

Another goofy thing about cloning, it seems to me I read somewhere that the first sheep they cloned, Dolly was already 8 years old when they collected it's sample and produced a critter rather already aged,
with therefore a life expectancy of not too long. Unless the 911 gsd owner produced some puppy teeth he saved, he might not get the gift he's bargaining for. I also don't know if they can improve upon what's there or not, but I guess if the new one too has DM, they'll know it had nada to do with toxic dust, more to do with 15 years of age, which, we all know, we should be as lucky!

I don't think the world needs a 'Re-Pet' in every mall, but I never thought Arnold would be governor of California, either !

No the Nazi's were nowheres near cloning but it was the idea that they were trying to condition the human species to get a desired affect, the perfect human. Now people think they have the ability to clone and condition creating a better animal. Actually my whole statement was to show that I watch too much sci-fi movies, nothing more

Also Godwins law....very nice that was a good point.

mentaly/emotionaly what would happen to a pet/working dog that normaly only lives ten fifteen years now double that?

Thats a scary thought but I don't think they are anywheres near the level they think they are. Everything on earth erodes with time thats just the way its supposed to be. They are trying to fight the natural order. Not a good thing.
