I was a band member for seven years, four of those years (high school) I marched. It contains a lot of fond memories, and I was wondering how many of you have marched, played in band, or are currently doing so? If so, what instrument did/do you play?

I am a proud Alto Saxophone player - still take it out every few months and play. I used to be first chair...now I sound like a semi truck. Either way, I still love to play :)

I found these a long time ago on the internet...and while I was cleaning this morning, found them again in some old papers. Figured I would share them with all of you :)

HAHA! Oh my... yes, I remember those days!!

As you already know, I played Oboe for concert band (9 years in total), and the 4 years in high school I marched Flute as well. Gosh, sometimes I do miss it. I still bring all my instruments out every once in a while.. but, I don't sound anywhere near what I did back then. I used to be really good at all of them.... not so much now. My dogs run and hide! LOL! :D

That list brought back a lot of great memories... and they are SO true! haha

Flute, piccolo (piano and guitar too but not in MB), went to college with a music scholarship, marching band all Jr High and High school and was a Drum Major in my senior year. Our MB had about 172 students, so there were three of us.

Still friends today with my besties from that time. 20+ years later. Every time we get together, we send out a text starting with:

"We're getting the Band back together"..... :D
