Please help---
I have a 5 month old Pup who weighs 57 lbs. I took him to the Vet because he was so red on his belly I thought he had poison but Vet said no just an allery that had got infected. So he gave my pup a shot of steroid and then pills to take at home, Tavist D and Keflex. Well one wekk later still itching, so I called they said bath with Johnston Baby shampoo and Benagryl. One week later STILL itching !!!!!!!! Poor thing I hate to take him out because I don't know if its the grass!!!!!! Any home remedies would be great, PLEASE. Thanks

It could be a food allergy. What do you feed? For the immediate itching, you can try a baking soda rinse on belly. Or oatmeal bath. Benadryl should be helping. Are you giving Tavist D and Benadryl? Those are both antihistamines and could be given in excess. Overdose is possible, but not likely. I just would not mix the two.

Can you put calamine lotion on it? I don't know, but others will.

I am sorry you are going through this. Your baby must be miserable!

I feed him Pedigree Puppy Dry food. Haven't changed it since I got him at 6 weeks ....

I'm only giving him Benadryl

Poor thing...... Some told me that he might be allergic to flea bites but I looked and I didn't see no fleas. I put on that Advantage every month for the last 2 months....

I bathed him last nite with Baby shampoo. He just let me rub under his belly !!!! Still today itch itch itch.

Ground Whole Corn, Chicken By-Product Meal, Rice, Corn Gluten Meal (Source of Lutein*), Animal Fat (preserved with Mixed Tocopherols, Source of Vitamin E), Natural Poultry Flavor, Wheat, Potassium Chloride, Wheat Flour, DiCalcium Phosphate, Salt, Brewers Dried Yeast, Carmel Color, Vegetable Oil (Source of Linoleic Acid...
