Does your dog pull a lot? How big are they?

beeta or biothane is extremely strong.....it is the stitching you need to watch when you get these or the snap....make sure the leash as a good brass snap not a cheap plated one...they will break far earlier than the leash

Looks like it'd work, as long as he isn't pulling a lot. If he was pulling a lot I'd also be worried about it cutting into your hand and you letting go if it was too thin.

It should be strong enough but I would agree that it may cut into your hands. I had a biothane leash really cut up my hands once. We have a show leash sent by Lee in 3/8" - it is very strong but we'd need to wear gloves if using it for a dog that really pulls!

When in doubt.. get both. These are my personal top two picks.

Bud at k9noz makes a knobby beta biothane lead. Very nice. Custom lengths.Called Super Grip.

The standard 5/8" heavyweight lead has a nice feel, not hard at all on the hands.
