Wonderful story. Now I know this is a GSD board, and he has Pry's, but he has highlighted Vet offices, rescues shelters and the like, one of the highlight rescues is a GSD rescuer who has sent in an application for an Extreme RESCUE makeover. So lets see if we can help this man out.

I personally sent in a volunteer email to see if I can help before he gets to Louisville, not sure what I can offer, im inner city and work the gosh dang weirdest hours.

I am drawn to this, because like so many others here we lost our Babe to cancer, she was diagnoised with Hemangiosarcoma on 10/8/06 and died 4 days later. I am drawn to helping anyway I can, I am even up to posting this on any site I post on.

Here is the information on "the boys"

Here is the Blog posting with the GSD rescue that is looking for an Extreme RESCUE makeover.

Thanks for posting this information. I lost Niki to osteosarcoma and three of them, Echo, Bo (mutt), and Ringer had hemangiosarcoma.

Thanks for the info. My dog was in remission, but has since been diagnosed with cancer again (mammary tumors that have now spread to her lungs).

A friend of mine had a 6-year-old Golden Retriever that died suddenly from cancer. She displayed no signs of sickness at all. They took the dog to the vet because she wasn't acting "normal" and then she stopped breathing while she was there. Within hours of being at the vet's office, she was gone.
