Cute pics but swimming a dog in algae will kill them. Lots of dogs died from swimming in that stuff. Just an FYI

Thanks for the info.. I did not know that and didn't think it was harmful... Now the problem will be to keep them out of it since it is on our property and my dogs LOVE it.

The green in the bayou is duckweed so I am not sure it is the same thing but I will be doing research on it. The water one day will be clear and free from duckweed and the next covered.. just depends on which way the wind is blowing.

You’re brave letting them swim in that anyway without the algae especially if you’re in La which I think you are

Normal algae and blue green algae (blooms) are not the same thing but I doubt either is particularly healthy.
