  1. How to make my Dog aggressive towards strangers?

How do I (teach my dog to)?
He is a Pure bred GSD. But is passive. He doesn’t bark at strangers nor shows aggression. He keeps playing with people if they come. (I hate guests and I never socialized my dog) yet he is so unguarding. There are a lot of burglars in my area. Please help
  2. My dog barked at my Mom and charged her

Aggression (the good, the bad & the ugly)
So, my dog is a non-neutered male, 10 months old. I've had him since he was 6 months, as a rescue. He's a really sweet dog and no aggression so far. I mean, he was mouthy as a puppy and I needed to firmly tell him "no!" a lot when he was younger, but he hasn't been mouthing me for over a month...
  3. Question about GSD attachment

    General Behavior
Hi all, I'm soon to be a owner of my first GSD and I had a question I was hoping some of you guys may be able to provide some insight into for me. So my friend's GSD had puppies and he is giving them to people he trusts that will provide them good homes, me being one of them. Currently, he has...
  4. Working Line Training

Aggression (the good, the bad & the ugly)
My two year old is my first working line shepherd and the first to show aggression. She has nipped two people and tried to bite a third. The first I excused because a man unknown to her (but known to me) entered the house when I was in the other room. She tore his pants and bruised him but...
  5. My 7 month old is food aggressive with our other dogs

    Development & Socialization
I have a 7 month male, Jaxon. He has lived with us since he was 8 weeks old, including our 2 small, old dogs. Lately, if I give the 3 of them treats, Jax tries to attack one of our dogs- mind you, they are aggressive towards him all the time- the bite at him, steal his toys, etc and Jax goes...
  6. GSD Killed Juvenile Turkey... Are My Cats Next?

    General Behavior
Hello, BACKGROUND: I posted about cat socialization while back when I first got my GSD mix, Albie, who is now going on 8 months old. So far, the process has gone well. Generally, he one-sidedly likes/admires the cats and they get annoyed at him. He mostly ignores them, is sometimes curious and...
  7. Training a neglected german shepherd(now overprotective)

    General Behavior
Hello, I am new at this forum and I would like some advice over my adopted German Shepherd. I adopted my german shepherd from someone out of Craiglist, he was 8 months old at that time and completely neglected. At first, I was afraid that he would not get along with my other two dogs (a staffy...
  8. Help: Barking at people that want to pet him

Aggression (the good, the bad & the ugly)
I am kind of at a loss for how to deal with my GSDs new aggression towards strangers. He has always had a problem with other dogs whilst on leash, (at first it was just cowering when they passed and now its lunging and barking, off leash he is not aggressive but plays excitedly and pretty rough...
  9. 4yo rescue black GSD bit dog...prey drive? - new owner, please help

Aggression (the good, the bad & the ugly)
Hi there, I recently rescued a 4 year old dog (1 month ago). She was on the red list at a kill-shelter. I thought I hit the jackpot, because she is the SWEETEST and most beautiful purebred, long coated black GSD. I know nothing of her past, but she appears to have been trained. She walks...
  10. Two vs. one

Aggression (the good, the bad & the ugly)
I have three shepherds and they are all a year apart. My oldest male is 4, his daughter is 3, and the baby is 2 and he is a white GSD. The youngest is the largest, and the other two jump him. I figured that he would eventually fight back, but has never gotten to that point. He is a big baby who...
  11. Whining/ Aggression

    General Behavior
I have a 1 year old female who I don’t have many problems with. One thing I’ve noticed recently is that she’s constantly crying or whining. They’re not long burst but she’s been doing a lot more recently and I’m having trouble getting her to stop. She’s also a bit aggressive at times. She has a...

Hello- A couple weeks ago my husband and I were visiting my father and brother and their German Shepherd, Drogon, bit my husband. Drogon is about a year and three months old and has been to training classes in the past, but I think a big issue is the follow through when he comes home. My...

Aggression (the good, the bad & the ugly)
In need of some advice on what to do with our boy, Ronan. We've had him since he was 7 weeks old and we absolutely love him to death. We've practiced basic obedience training consistently with him, and he is very smart, and for the most part, obedient. We have been complimented on multiple...
